Matt and Jessi have been good friends and mentors of ours for the last few years. We feel absolutely blessed to have them in our lives. It goes without saying that we were beyond excited to find out they were expecting, and I’m even more excited to have been able to capture such a beautiful time in their lives! We visited a few of their favorite places while I was in Raleigh a few weeks ago…

Matt and Jessi : Maternity
Wednesday, May 16th, 2012Keith and Lucy Are Having a Baby
Friday, May 4th, 2012Lucy is a fellow photographer here in Charlottesville, and we discussed a little trade a few months ago that just happened to be timed perfectly for us to do some maternity photos of Lucy and her husband, Keith. I love how comfortable they are with each other and with being in front of the camera (not always the case, as we prefer to be behind the lens). They are such naturals! We couldn’t be more excited for them, and we can’t wait to meet the newest member of your family soon!

Friday, November 18th, 2011Trey and Tara Beth welcomed Foster Laine into the world a few months ago, and we couldn’t have been more excited about it! So, while we were down in their neck of the woods for “Flannel Fest”, we decided to squeeze in a little family session. We spent an hour or so in the morning together before the grandparents came to whisk Foster away for the weekend. She was such a joy and ease to photograph. They all were, really. The tree in the nursery was handmade by Tara and our good friend, Hope, and it really ties the Pooh theme of the nursery together. I’m looking forward to many more years of shooting this lovely family.
All shot with a Mamiya 645AF and a Mamiya-Sekor “C” 80mm f/1.9 on Fuji Pro 400H and Kodak Portra 800 and developed and scanned by Richard Photo Lab.
