Trey and Tara Beth welcomed Foster Laine into the world a few months ago, and we couldn’t have been more excited about it! So, while we were down in their neck of the woods for “Flannel Fest”, we decided to squeeze in a little family session. We spent an hour or so in the morning together before the grandparents came to whisk Foster away for the weekend. She was such a joy and ease to photograph. They all were, really. The tree in the nursery was handmade by Tara and our good friend, Hope, and it really ties the Pooh theme of the nursery together. I’m looking forward to many more years of shooting this lovely family.

All shot with a Mamiya 645AF and a Mamiya-Sekor “C” 80mm f/1.9 on Fuji Pro 400H and Kodak Portra 800 and developed and scanned by Richard Photo Lab.

Julie’s Bridal Portraits

Saturday, November 5th, 2011

Kevin and Julie said their “I Do’s” today at The Pavilions at Angus Barn!¬†I can’t wait to share their wedding with you, but for now, a few bridal portraits will have to hold you over. We shot these at The Pavilions about a month ago and couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day. The ever awe-inspiring¬†Fresh Affairs provided the breathtaking flowers. Julie also brought her pup, Dexter, along, and he did an incredible job posing for a few photos. Enjoy!

These were all shot with a Mamiya 645AF and Mamiya-Sekor “C” 80mm f/1.9 on Fuji Pro 400h and were processed and scanned by Richard Photo Lab.

Rock and Shop Market Promo Photos

Wednesday, November 2nd, 2011

A couple weeks ago, I had the pleasure of shooting some promotional photos for this year’s Rock and Shop Market. The shoot was a blast, and I’m really happy I was able to help with such a great showcase of some of North Carolina’s finest artisans and crafters. This is only a handful of the people who will be featured in the Market, but it should whet your palate for what you’ll see and experience this December 17. Our wonderfully natural model, Whitney, is a double threat and also created the leather bags seen below.

Here’s a short blurb about this year’s Market…

“The Rock & Shop Market is a hip, juried craft show featuring over 100 curated emerging designers selling their handmade wares, plus a fashion show, live bands and food trucks. This year’s event will take place from 12-6pm at three locations that are across from one another in Durham, NC: Motorco Music Hall, Fullsteam Brewery & The Trotter Building. The bands that are playing this year’s event are The Small Ponds & Phil Cook & His Feat.”

All of these were shot with a Mamiya 645AF with a Sekor-C 80mm f/1.9 on Kodak Portra 400 and processed and scanned by Richard Photo Lab.
